Dinner for Eight (D48) Series
In healthcare, the most valuable insights often come from intimate conversations, not crowded conference rooms. Our Dinner-for-Eight (D48) series creates a unique space where UCLA Anderson MBA students engage directly with top healthcare leaders and executives in small, meaningful settings.
These carefully curated dinners bring together eight students and one healthcare leader for an evening of authentic dialogue, mentorship, and relationship-building. Over dinner, students have the opportunity to ask candid questions, hear real-world perspectives on industry challenges, and build lasting connections with leaders shaping the future of healthcare.
The Dinner-for-Eight series embodies the collaborative spirit of the Anderson community and exemplifies our commitment to bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry leadership. Whether you're exploring career paths, seeking strategic insights, or looking to expand your professional network, these intimate gatherings provide an invaluable platform for meaningful engagement with healthcare's most influential voices.
About Hosting a D48
-
D48s are intimate gatherings rooted in the belief that some of the most meaningful connections happen around a dinner table. A host from the MBA community invites a small group of eight students for an evening of good food and genuine conversation — at a favorite local restaurant or in the comfort of their own home.
For hosts, it's a chance to build relationships in a setting that feels personal rather than programmatic, engaging students in conversation about the healthcare industry.
-
A meaningful way to give back to and invest in the MBA community
The chance to meet a diverse cross-section of students they may not otherwise encounter
A front-row seat to the energy, ambition, and perspectives that define UCLA Anderson
The satisfaction of creating an experience that educates and empowers healthcare business students
-
Hosting a D48 is meaningful and straightforward. Evenings typically span a few hours, and the HBA handles all student coordination and scheduling, working around your availability so the logistics come together smoothly.
Hosts are welcome throughout the spring (March–June).
-
Registration opens on CampusGroups before each dinner. Spots are limited to eight students per dinner to preserve the intimate, conversational atmosphere that makes these events special.
